The objective of this one day course is to provide participants with the ability to manage risk within a project in order to avoid adverse effects on project outcomes. It covers determining, monitoring and controlling project risks, and assessing risk management outcomes.
This course addresses Risk Management within projects utilising the AS/NZ 4360 Risk Management standard and its application within projects. It is aimed at the project manager who usually performs the risk management function and the staff involved in Risk Management activities.
On completion of the course participants will understand:
- The concept of risk management in general and particularly within the AS/NZ 4360 context.
- The place of risk management in the context of the project life cycle and why it is needed.
- The AS/NZ 4360 Process Model including a broad awareness of the intent of each process on projects.
- How to determine project risks, including risk management planning and the application of risk management techniques and tools.
- How to monitor and control project risk.
- How to assess project risk management outcomes for effectiveness of processes and procedures.
- The appropriate risk management methodologies, their capabilities, limitations, applicability and outcomes.
