The technical specification is usually considered the most important document in the systems engineering process as it defines in detail the capability requirements of the user and organisation. As such, a good specification helps an organisation acquire systems that best meets its needs and also provides a sound basis for a contract with a supplier.

This one day workshop provides participants with practical guidance on how to write a specification. They will learn what makes a good specification, how specifications should be structured, common mistakes and how to avoid them, and be provided with guidance on how to develop a quality specification.

The workshop is illustrated with many examples, and participants will practice writing requirements in a series of exercises throughout the day.
